About Us
The Jane Cremer Foundation, Inc., established in 1997, is a not-for-profit 501c(3) corporation. It is a volunteer-based organization governed by its board of directors.
The mission of the foundation is to educate and empower women to be proactive in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer. Information is presented in an open setting offering the latest information and technology presented by experts that specialize in the field of women's cancer.
The programs are free and include health education fairs which introduce area resources. Renowned national experts along with local and regional medical personnel have participated in providing the latest information and resources available in the area of cancer. Currently, programs include:
- Annual educational programs in Southeastern Wisconsin
- Hispanic programs, conducted in Spanish
- African-American programs, addressing specific ethnic health issues
- Site-based programs
We continue to develop collaborative relationships that result in reaching more women and contribute to the objective of raising the quality of women’s health care. Since 1998, we have reached more than 7,400 women and more than 1,200 health care professionals.
Our Philosophy
- Develop programs that meet the needs of the people we serve.
- Develop programs that offer a "differentiating plus" and are unique to the markets we serve. Our strategy is to lead.
- Develop programs that meet rigorous quality and medical standards and offer value.
- Make every person who attends our programs feel important regardless of economic or social status.
- Make every program important every time.
- Utilize the highest possible percentage of available funds for the benefit of the people we are serving and the smallest possible percentage for administrative and fundraising activities.
