Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin Clinical Cancer Center offer many programs to prevent, detect, and treat all types of cancer. Specialists from many different medical disciplines, including surgery, radiology, radiation oncology, medical oncology and pathology, come together within each program to combine their knowledge and treatment experience.

The National Cancer Institute's (NCI's) Cancer Information Service (CIS) is a federally funded program that was established in 1975 as an essential part of NCI's cancer education and information efforts. For over 35 years, NCI's CIS has been providing scientifically based, unbiased information to patients, their families and friends, physicians and other health professionals, and the general public about all aspects of cancer including: cancer research and clinical trials, cancer prevention, risk factors, symptoms, early detection, diagnosis, treatment, living with cancer, and smoking cessation.
Information specialists are trained to answer cancer related questions by telephone (1-800-4-CANCER), LiveHelp instant messaging, and e-mail. In addition to answering questions about cancer and clinical trials, the NCI's CIS also operates the NCI's Smoking Quitline (1-877-44U-QUIT) which provides free cessation information and support to smokers who wish to quit.

This site was created by Emory University Winship Cancer Center to teach the biology of cancer. No assumptions are made about previous knowledge of cancer or biology. The target audience includes cancer patients, their families and friends, medical workers and other interested in cancer. It also includes an overview of cell structure and division, genetics, tumor biology and cancer treatments.

The NMDP is a non profit organization, based in Minneapolis, MN that provides marrow and blood stem cell transplants for patients who do not have a matched donor in their family. This web site also allows any individual that meets criteria to request an HLA kit to become a potential bone marrow donor through the Be The Match Registry. They also provide educational materials for patients that are having an allogeneic bone marrow transplant and their caregivers.

It includes links to other organizations, stories from patients, donors, and caregivers. It also includes webcasts and information about survivorship.
